It all started when
On April 1, 2008, Freedom Point Church began. A small gathering of men, women, youth, and children, who desired to see God move in the community. They met in various places, until the opportunity to use the current building arose. Blessed to be in the main street area of Garden City, Freedom Point put down roots and committed to following the heart of the Lord even more fervently. From just a small gathering of individuals, Freedom Point has grown continuously.
You’ll meet folks in hunting t-shirts, ball caps, with big smiles. We have donuts, coffee, chocolate milk, and a seat for anyone who wants to come. We’re all a bit rough around the edges sometimes, have a story of brokenness and redemption, every one of us a sinner saved by grace. Here, everyone’s wanted, and everyone’s welcome.
Tithing is talked about a lot in scripture - God’s view of it is first and foremost based on honoring Him and the relationship we have with Him. Sowing into the Kingdom is part of Christian life - in fact it’s a command with a promise attached to it!
